Halloween on Church

I’ve only lived in Toronto for a few years now, but I now have an annual outing Halloween on Church street. Last year I didn’t dress up because I didn’t know what to expect but I got to see so many people in different costumes. This year, I went as a Go-Go dancer and walked the street. You will not be disappointed of the costumes people are wearing. The citizens of Toronto go all out. I thought I was creative with my costume, but it was nothing compared to what I witnessed. Just make sure you are wearing appropriate footwear as you walk up and down the street. You will probably be here for hours because just when you think you have seen all the outfits more and more people are arriving. Most of the shops along the street are open if you need to just sit and have a coffee or a beverage. This event is all ages and this year I even saw a baby dressed as a bee. So cute! You don’t need to be shy to ask for a photograph either. People are willing to take photo opportunities any chance they can get. In this post, I have provided for you what I think are the best costumes out of this event.

The city closes the street for 6 blocks from Gloucester to Wood so that people can walk around dressed up and take pictures with everyone that has out done themselves year after year. Like I said earlier this is now my second year because after the first one, you will want to see what Torontonians have come up with again. It’s like PRIDE but people are in costumes. This area is LGBTQ friendly and is the same area that hosts PRIDE.

I already can’t wait for next year. I just have to come up with a costume.
